Renewing the Proud Tradition of Brooklyn Baseball

Sterling Equities owns and operates The Brooklyn Cyclones, a minor league (development) baseball club and a Class A affiliate of the New York Mets. It is also the developer, builder and operator of the team’s stadium MCU Park, located just off of the boardwalk in the historic Coney Island section of Brooklyn.

Fred Wilpon and Saul Katz formed the team in the summer of 2001 to bring professional baseball back to their home town of Brooklyn after a forty-four year hiatus. The Cyclones are directed by the Office of the Chairman whose members include: Fred Wilpon as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer; Saul Katz as President; and Jeff Wilpon as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
